This figure is for a facing couple. They change places by the right hand, and retain that hand hold. Then join left hands too, then change places again with the woman turning under the joined hands (facing away from the man). The dropping the right hand they cross by the left.

History

The earliest dances with this figure that I could find were Micmac Rotary and The Haggis Tree, both published by John Drewry, 1982.
