North Country Ladies’ ChainThis is a variant of the Ladies’ Chain from the north of England.

In it the man does not turn, and barely moves. The women do a right hand pull-by (as usual) as the man moves slightly to the right. The women take left hands in left with the opposite man and raises this as an arch. The women back under their arches, ending behind the men, facing the same way. They drop left hands, the man moves slightly left, and takes the lady’s left hand in his right as she moves to stand on his right.

History

The earliest example of this that I've seen is Pat Shaw's Bell of Creation from about 1970.
