Lady MacIntosh's Rant
Lady MacIntosh's Rant is a Scottish Country Dance. It was published by David Rutherford in 1756 in Rutherford's compleat Collection of 200 of the most celebrated Country Dances both Old and New, Vol. 1, London. It was interpreted by RSCDS in 1926 and published in RSCDS Book 3. It is S8×32 3C/4C 1s cross, a Triple Minor dance with the 1s improper. St32.
Rutherford spells the dance "Lady McIntosh's Rant" and writes:
Cast off one Couple Cast up Again Lead down two Couples up again, foot it foot it & cast off Right Hand and Left
Rutherford's music consists of a two bar strain and a four bar strain.
The animation plays at 120 counts per minute normally, but the first time through the set the dance will often be slowed down so people can learn the moves more readily. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color, however the border of each dancer indicates what role they currently play so the border color may change each time through the minor set.

| 25-28 | 1s lead below 3s and cast back to middle |
| 29-32 | 2s+1s rights and lefts |
